Stacey + Chris

August 10, 2010

I had the distinct pleasure of photographing a very special event for Stacey and Chris – their St. Louis Reception!

A small group of 39 close friends and family traveled to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico to witness and help celebrate the vow exchange of this fantastic couple. How much fun is that!?! Wedding in Mexico…sign me up!

Once the newly weds were back in St. Louis, we did a quick photo session in Faust Park with just the two of them before heading over to Wapango to celebrate with the rest of their guests. Here are a few favorites:

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Turek! Here’s to many more years of happiness – OH, and next time your in Napa-I think you should bring your favorite photographer along with you!

So wedding season is obviously in full swing by my lack of blogging. Full swing. I was on the phone last night with Katie of Simply and Forever going over details for the next wedding show and my 2 page to-do list…yes, seriously it is 2 pages, and we both vowed to blog today. Now, Katie’s blog is fantastic and always always up to date. Mine, not so much.

So this week has been very exciting for us around here. Yesterday a few photos from Shannon and Doug’s July 17th wedding were featured on the pizzazzerie blog. Pizzazzerie is an entertaining insperation blog-and since I am in love with anything that has to do with recepies, weddings and parties this blog is top on my Google Reader. Super excited that mine and Brian’s work gets to be on display!

So, if that wasn’t enough…I recently did an interview with Yara Holt, owner of Bridal Horizons.   St. Louis is certainly blessed with a few fabulous wedding/event planners and Yara is one of them.  We had the pleasure of meeting at Eventology this past April and I’ve enjoyed her company at several wedding events around town since then. Today on her Vendor Spotlight…ME!  So, check it out…right now.

Because blogs are better with a picture-here is a photo from the Pizzazzerie feature. Happy Thursday.

Kelli + Mike

June 11, 2010

“Skinamarinky dinky dink, Sinkamarinky doo, I love you.”

Yep, thats right – the first time Kelli and Mike got behind my camera about a year and half ago at their engagement session I turned around and they were singing the classic children’s song to each other-just off in their own world.  Right then and there I knew these two were my type of couple I wanted to be working with.
Over the next year their awesomeness was confirmed…getting to know these two (and family) was a pleasure-We worked together closely on all of the stationary and details of the wedding and even the night before the big day at the rehearsal dinner.

Kelli and Mike you rocked the beginning of my wedding season…here are just a few favorites from the day.  Oh, and a BIG thanks to my awesome assistant Brian, who rocked this wedding with me.

Now off to get that song of out my head.

Fab dress from Clarice’s Bridal.

Meet Kelli and Mike

LOVE LOVE LOVE this moment right before dad walks his daughter down the aisle.

Mike didn’t let Kelli see her ring once it was finished before the wedding…so here is a very giddy bride that just saw her new bling!

Mike and Kelli, I wish you the world of happiness and never stop singing to each other.

“…I love you in the morning and in the afternoon. I love you in the evening, and underneath the moon…”

Ok so it’s already Wednesday and I am crazy busy editing and knee deep in stationary this week. But I wanted to stop and share a little peak at whats to come. I had the chance to share in 3 very special days over the weekend and each one was unique and fabulous in their own ways.

Friday, June 4th – Mr. and Mrs. James Casey:

Saturday, June 5th – Mr. and Mrs. James Bergmann

St. Charles, Main Street

Sunday, June 6th – Mr. and Mrs. Mark Maino

Katelin + Ross

May 10, 2010

So the 2010 wedding season seems to be in full swing. My first wedding of the year was Katelin and Ross this past January. Very cold wet January.

With Boston, St. Louis, Ohio, Seattle and Florida during baseball season, Katlin and Ross have several cities to call home. So they picked St. Louis as the destination for the big event and I couldn’t have been happier to be included in their day! Take a look:

The flowers were amazing – Tina (The Special Event Florist) did such a great job!

The Ceremony was at the Old Cathedral under the arch.

This veil is very special to the family – Ross’s mom and a hand full of other family members also wore the headpiece. Katelin you rocked it!

Off to the City Garden for more pictures…

While I was taking the above photo the bridal party was busy getting out of the limo-I turned around and had a surprise – Snuggies and galoshes that matched perfectly! (Bridal party gifts from the bride and groom – LOVE!) Guys, you look great holding those flowers for the ladies :)

I am a huge fan of lighting. Obviously. It certainly can take a great room and turn into a FABULOUS room!

I have to talk about this cake…the flowers are all edible and made in Boston and brought to the wedding by a close friend of the brides-truly an art. Also an art that she made it through Lambert Airport safely with them. PS-the bride and groom figure was used on Katelin’s parents wedding cake. Love details.

Stationary – Jennifer

April 14, 2010

So I have an obsession with anything paper. I could spend a few hours in Artmart looking at all the different patterns, textures and colors dreaming up different projects and invitations. Maybe it has something to do with my degree in graphic design or coming from a very crafty family (thanks mom) but I do know that my little obsession has been keeping me very busy lately!

So each week I’m going to do a post on stationary projects I’ve been working on or maybe just a cool link to share. I’m going to keep this first post simple,  I just finished up Jennifer and Matt’s invitation set and excited to share it. Jenn wanted something “simple, bright and fun” for their outside June wedding. Here is what we came up with.

The invite is a 5×7 using the colors of the wedding flowers- orange, royal blue and hints of pink. To keep everything orginazed we created a belly band to hold the invite, rsvp and envelope all together.

Jenn and Matt, I look forward to photographing your wedding and I’m so happy you love your invites!!

Katie + Mike

February 8, 2010

I am so very excited to be launching my new blog today! I can’t think of a better first blog entry then Katie and Mike’s wedding.

The details were impeccable. Seriously could have not been planned any better. I get excited every Saturday when its time to go shoot a wedding, but this one was different – I had butterflies in my stomach as Brian and I walked in the hotel to meet the girls getting ready, thats how excited I was for this wedding.

Katie’s fabulous dress and Bridesmaid dresses were from Karen’s Wedding Boutique.

Let’s talk about this pair of shoes! Hello Kate Spade – in love.

Here is a new spin on wedding jewelry. Lacey from Graphic Traffic created the necklaces and earrings for the bride and bridesmaids. One of a kind!

Like I said, Katie had every detail perfect, all the way down to her garters from Julianne Smith. If your looking for something special or a custom garter check out her website!

Katie. Seriously. Fierce.

The guys also looking fierce. Even the little guy.

Tina of The Special Event Florist did an AMAZING job on the flowers!!!

Two become one…

Introducing the new Mr. and Mrs. Mike Saeger!

This is my absolute favorite picture from the day.

Off to Forest Park for group pictures.

Second stop was the City Museum rooftop. 19 floors up. Scary, but I’ll do anything for my brides or a good shot!

Last stop around Laclede’s Landing for a few more. Drama Drama.

Great cake from Ozenkoski’s Bakery.

Cheers!

Katie and Mike, your wedding day was amazing and thanks for letting Brian and I capture your special day.

PS – Katie is the proud owner of Simply and Forever. To see more from her wedding or inquire about her planning services visit her blog.
